Woodlawn Cemetery

Woodlawn Entrance 2Butch, Dave and I investigated Woodlawn Cemetery in the Summer of 2008 as we had heard of the legendary haunting connected to Woodlawn. Civil War soldiers are buried in sections 28 and 41 of the cemetery and the cemetery has been listed as a National Historic site since 1998.  It was a beautiful day, Sunny, Light winds and the temperature was in the low 80’s.  I was taken aback by the big monument that you can see from a great distance. We investigated several sections throughout the cemetery including the grave site of a young girl that was murdered in the late 70’s.

Hocking Hills

My Cousin Becky was vacationing in the Hocking Hills this past summer.  While spending the weekend she and her family members had a strange feeling that someone or something was with them.  Becky had sent me several odd photo’s;  I have only posted this picture while protecting her privacy.  If you look at the photo you can see a strange light abnormality in the cave.  More interesting if you look up on the hill to the left, you can clearly see two apparitions standing next to each other.  You can actually see right through one of them.

My weekend at Ohio University

Ohio University - AthensMy weekend at Ohio University, My son Nick and I had our Student / Parent Orientation and Registration weekend.  I stayed at the Ohio Univ. Inn and arrived on Friday evening at 8:30pm, as soon as I checked in I began to explore the Ridges, first was the cemetery where I spent about an hour walking through it completely and taking as many  pictures as I could, I also walked around the old Asylum, During this after dark trip I noticed a two story very old building behind the Asylum up on the very top of the hill, next to this building stands a black water tower, the building is closed off with no trespassing signs posted, I took several pictures of this building and could not get rid of the feeling that I had to go inside. I had my wife Karen and my son as well as another family friend Jeff with me at the time, Karen insisted that I not go in because of it being closed and the only chain linked door into it was locked and chained shut, and if I was to get caught inside our son may be thrown out of the University before he had taken his first class.

Athens Most Haunted Town in Ohio

If there is any town that might qualify as the most haunted place in Ohio, it would probably be Athens, a sleepy community in the southeastern part of the state. Besides being home to the Ohio University, it is also nestled into the Appalachian Mountains, which for centuries has been considered a region of magic and ghostly folklore. There are many stories to Athens — and many ghosts.

A great web site for Athen’s Ghost Stories:  Athens County

Gibb’s Road Bridge is located in Richfield Township Ohio between Sylvania and Berkey. Legend has it that the bridge is haunted by the victims of a deadly auto accident that occurred on the bridge. The sounds of a collision and laughter are said to be heard at night.  People have also reported being chased off the bridge after dark by ghostly shadows.

Resurrection Cemetery

I got this story from this web site http://www.prairieghosts.com/whomary.html; Video link to story on Unsolved Mysteries: The Legend of Resurrection Mary

resurrection-front-gates-2Chicago is a city filled with ghosts, from haunted houses to ghostly graveyards. But of all of the tales, there is one that rises above all of the others. I like to think of Resurrection Mary as Chicago’s most famous ghost. It is also probably my favorite ghost story of all time. It has all of the elements of the fantastic from the beautiful female spirit to actual eyewitness sightings that have yet to be debunked. There is much about the story that appeals to me and I never tire of hearing or talking about Mary, her sightings and her mysterious origins.

Lady in the Attic

old-east-side-home-lady-in-attic

This is a investigation that began and ran for over two decades. This Family moved into this home after living in a Haunted home three blocks away. Everyone in the home thought that their previous live-in ghost Henry had followed them to this home in the mid 1970’s. All that lived in this home had either heard a lady talking to them or thought they had saw someone or something at one time or another.

Little Girls sings “I hate you” at the end (starts at 10 second mark).

Sandusky Bay Cabin

Bloody Mary\'s CottageThis Cabin is linked to the Bloody Mary story of Sandusky Bay. We came upon it researching the story. We went back three times to complete this hunt. Everything was left as is furniture, appliances, dishes including the car in the yard with plates dated 1972. It seemed to be simply abandoned. On the first hunt we picked up tons of orbs in photos, total darkness no electricity runs into the woods. Lost power to one of the cameras and my watched stopped and has yet to start again. Very eerie feel to the place and the grounds it sat on.

Wolfinger Cemetery

codys subs and ghost pictures 007Wolfinger Cemetery actually sits in the middle of Secor Park. Once in the park I found the side road that leads to the Cemetery. You are welcomed in by a huge arched rod iron gate. It is a very old Cemetery with Tombstones that date back to the late 1700’s. It is a fairly small Cemetery. I was driving through looking for the five graves sites of the Family that had died within weeks of each other. It didn’t take long to find them. They are buried along the fence to the far right side of the Cemetery. I got out of the car to read the names on the Tombstones (My wife wouldn’t leave the car ).

Ida (Michigan) Private Residence

Ida Investigation HaroldIn September of 2007 I was approached by a co-worker about this particular case. Wendy had heard I was involved in the world of paranormal investigating. She approached me on a couple different occasions in regard to the home she was residing in and the unwanted guests that seemed to have moved in with her. One evening she seemed to be upset and approached me with a request to have her home investigated. After discussing her case further, we decided to do a investigation with little time to prepare and gather our staff.

Custar

Custer HaroldTOGHS investigated this private residence in October 2006. We are keeping the name and location private to protect the privacy of the client. Butch, Fred and I along with our guest investigator Bobby arrived in Custar in the evening of October 2006. As we got out of our vehicles, Butch noticed a little girl looking out an upstairs window. When Butch pointed it out to me, I thought I saw her to. Once inside this location we were all amazed that there was not a young girl living in residence. We had spent the first hour or so just doing a walk through and getting as much information from our client as possible. While interviewing our client she had mentioned the fact that the residence was being haunted by a young girl.

Johnson’s Island Cemetery

jistatueWhile visiting Marblehead in August of 2006 with my Wife and Son along with my Sister and her husband we decided to cross the toll bridge and visit Johnson’s Island. We have heard the stories of the Haunted cemetery, the legendary prison as well as the spirits of Confederate soldiers that are said to be seen wandering the island. We did not have Investigation equipment with us at the time but I always have a digital camera in the car. We visited the cemetery first. We found this cemetery very well kept and has a rather peaceful setting.

Henry House – Where it all began

The Henry HouseThis is a home where I lived with my family for several years while growing up as a young boy and early teenager.  I’ve always had a great interest in the Paranormal as a child but my belief in the paranormal and visitors from the other side was firmly established over the course of a few years.  I am the second oldest of nine children, so to say I’ve come from a big family is an understatement. The home was huge and the rooms were huge as well. Our dinning room alone was probably 30 feet long by twenty foot wide.
